I lived in El Paso for a few years while I was stationed at Ft. Bliss. I moved back home only 2 years ago. Now I work in the oil and gas pipeline industry and go there for work occasionally. It's a very historical area, but like any other city, there are the areas to avoid. I never go anywhere unarmed in that part of the country.
