Android. I wouldn't take an Apple product as a gift.

I dont think anything short of a phone being fed-proof would switch me over to Apple, but apparently thats not a decision I have to make, I'll be sticking with my Galaxy. If I ever need to keep things secure I'll just use burner phones which seems to be the next best way to keep uninvited guests out of your business.

I read that the FBI still has a suit against Apple for a phone involved in a drug case, not sure why they have not unlocked that phone as well.

I prefer the Android world but I really have nothing worth hacking. I do all my sensitive stuff in person save for the odd titty pic.

If I were inclined to do something illegal, I certainly wouldn't document it in any form.

I assume for many, like myself, it's a matter of principle. One does not need to be a criminal to end up getting harassed or investigated.

The less you can share with law enforcement the better, as a whole law enforcement cant be trusted. They are not your friends, they are not there to help you. Their sole purpose is to gather evidence with which to incriminate you or find pc to search you, your car or your home. If I can protect my data against unlawful or unreasonable searches I sure will. I want to make it as difficult as possible to violate my rights, even if it means using an Apple device.

A friend of mine that is a paramedic, but worked as a cop, said that when ever he would arrest someone, he would read them their rights, and then just let them talk.

One of his favourite sayings was...."You have the right to remain silent, You might not have the ability too....."

When I was a younger man a friend of the family who was practicing law gave me a lengthy lecture about STFU, verbal diarrhea is as dangerous as it is common. Folks gotta learn and teach the young uns now to deal with police, it's counter-intuitive for those of us raised to respect the law but the game has changed.

I do industrial safety as well as medical, so there will be times I do audits on various groups. I simply ask a question....and let someone answer. After they answer....i just wait. I will maintain eye contact, and then just kind of shake my head yes, to let them know that I am listening.....and then they add some more, and I still nod yes.......and they add some more. I usually find deficiencies that others dont, and I am very nice about it. Afterwards I thank them for being very honest with me.
