jfeagins, that's the scene that makes me wonder why people think they can get away with crime. I guess they don't expect to face an armed 'victim.'

A woman here (south FL) just paroled for bank robbery, committed three more. Her mother turned her in. Some people think crime is a way to 'earn a living.'

Break-ins suck, I've had two in my life both while I was not at home. Nothing was really taken either time. First time was when I first moved to Georgia, but did not have all my stuff there and a maintenance man scared him off. Second I think was a nephew but did not take anything that I have missed in 6 years. I'm glad they did not get in Paul, but even the attempt is enough to make you want to hospitalize the perp(s).
I hope better times are soon in your families future, be well bro!

We wired up thin chicken wire fencing over basement windows and hooked 'em up to 240. Set to energize when we enable the alarm each night or when we are out.
No need for wasting bullets, just a neighbour that turns a blind eye when the body is trucked out of the yard in the morning.

I would go to a farm store and get an electrified fence system to use instead of 240 V. Your liability for your system is worrisome.

Years ago in Miami FL a shopowner, Prentice Rasheed, electrified his ducts from the roof equipment. He caught someone w/it while he wasn't there, and the burglar died. Rasheed was arrested. After trial, he was found not guilty. Lucky if you ask me. It would have no bearing on a civil lawsuit, that outcome. I don't know what happened after that.

+1 on the farm system. It is a single box that takes the volts way up, but keeps current to a non lethal level.

Here in good old NYS, getting a gun license is a big process- but no license required for rifles! I have a Rossi Circuit Judge which uses 9mm or .776 shot. Small enough to wield in corridors, .776 cartridges with "disks" made by Remington create some stopping power, revolver setup gives you 5 chances. It's funny because it is basically a Dirty Harry revolver with a slightly longer barrel and a short stock.

I really need to join the NRA...

Glad you're ok.

+1 on the auto detector light too. I may be putting a set in my back yard shortly!

Peace.

Holy fuck....the dude in that video will likely not fare too well. That hand looks like a goner and the ear.......F'in-A ouch. That is certainly gonna leave a scar.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I guess Canadian tire sells more than just car parts.
Never realized that till I clicked on the link.
Seems they sell about everything!
