Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

We had a guy in the firefighter's local who would always vote against anything that looked like it would be unanimous, just so it wouldn't be & to make the Recording Secretary have to do more work. I wonder if that's 'ninjaneer's' intent? I kinda think it must be a joke.

I haven't met in-person any of the guys in the middle of the state, but I hope to one day. Kyle has volunteered some info to me along the way, I appreciate the input.

Hearing-of & seeing a typical Kyle day, he is capable of prolific output! :worthy:
Seeing Agent Orange together, I am beginning to like those dual headlights more, Kyle. I like an orange bike, I had my Honda 305 Scrambler painted that by a friend when I bought it in '71. He had his own collision shop and did a Dupont job of such quality, I didn't actually appreciate how-good he did it until later, when I saw the crap passing for 'work' by other shops.

I have been toying w/an orange scheme for my spare bodywork, but I think I would limit it to the f & r fenders, & the faux tank cover, though I might try to photoshop the sidecovers in a 1/2 black/orange scheme vs. all-orange scheme, and flip the orange/black top-for-bottom, or just leave them bare metal clearcoated. In black, the front end disappears.

I am gonna photoshop the wheels in color too. Maybe just an orange band trim, or partial coverage. Options! The local powdercoater charges $200/pair. They had to do my scoops twice because of outgassing/imperfections initially, second time was the charm.

I think we have the same air compressor, Kyle, I found mine at a scrapyard new still on the delivery pallet, it fell off the delivery truck & Home Depot scrapped it. I went to a local air compressor supplier & got new & used replacement parts & had it goin' for <$200.

Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

i don't think ninjaneer was referring to the vote since there aren't any recorded 'no's' but something else, not sure what tho.

Ninjaneer is somewhat of a jokester, he would not vote at all if it would keep someone from getiing an award, he would let the masses decide......
Just my .02 cents

HAHAHA. I was just trying to ward off any potential "no" voters. seems to be working because, as you say, there aren't any "no" votes since i posted.:rofl_200:. but i guess my efforts will backfire and a rash of "no" votes will start surfacing just to spite me.

hmmm i wonder, would my intentions've been clearer if i took out the angry man face?

Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

I just thought it was in response to the owner naming it "project Orange Crush" vs. Dave's namining of "Agent Orange". Hence the scowling orange and larger than life "NO!".
EDIT: scowling orange going, going gone! ;D

Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

That fact I did voted once for NO dosent means Im voting NO all the time...
...in a fact this is little strange - If everybody are voting YES then what does NO and MAYBE stand for?
Just a tought...

Since you quoted me, I feel that you must think that I think you do. Please understand that this is not the case, nor was I specifically targetting you. I don't know how it is in Poland, but when we vote in the States, the voting precincts get littered with signs and brochures by people who want voters to vote a certain way. "Vote for me", "Don't vote him", "Vote for this law", "Don't vote for that law", etc. etc. (and my big pic of the slashed NO is just that). But at the end of the day, we vote how ever we please with a free conscience whether or not it agrees with the masses and do not have to worry at the end of the day whether or not our neighbor will persecute us because of the way we vote. And please don't think that I am criticizing your culture--like I said I don't know what is. I'm just explaining mine.

Dude, vote how ever you feel like and you do not have to defend your actions. No one is pressuring you on how to vote or to justify it. Matter of fact you are free to not vote.

Just my two cents.

Peace.

IMO it stands for choice; if someone wants to choose "yes", "no" or "maybe" that is their and only their choice. If they want to defend or applaude their decision by posting a response that is again up to them. No need for a special judicial committee to grill why someone responded one way or the other.
The awards themselves are meant as a way for the forum to recognize a members actions on the forum or reported on the forum.

Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

Cool cool guys, Im not targeting anyone and I feel no targeted.

I was just curious about his...anyway you vote how you want and when you want - obvious.
But...all awards goes with YES and when somebody votes NO then hes a ****** or something...that is interesting LOL

I have more orange paint left & enough extra body work to do a set & swap you out. I am not the fastest in the world but if you bike is not down that helps a lot. I bought my compessor about 6-7 years ago for $ 500 bucks from a friend that bought it for around $ 1300 & decided he did not need it after all. It was like 3 months old. I have another paint set I have to start on for a guy tomorrow & gonna try & do one of my 85's at the same time. My other 85 & 89 are gonna have to wait but I did buy the paint for my 89 today kind of a diffrent color but what the hell Im a little diffrent to.:biglaugh:

Re: Award Request for CaptainKyle!

It's hard to think negatively about such a deserving person as CaptainKyle. He spends so much time helping others here, and, still gets his own work done... He's just one of those VMax Brothers that can't get or do enough.... You all should talk with him sometime at a Tech Day. You'll get a glimpse into all the thoughts and ideas I hear when he's surrounded with the VMax's he's working with... :biglaugh: In the time I work to make 1 VMax right, he's done 5 or 10...

That's not saying much about me, is it:ummm::rofl_200:....
