Ending up running on the size of the road before somebody drive on it and then looked around for the small mid-pipe.

Yep, that's a D'oh moment if there ever was one!
That sinking feeling as you realise that you stuffed up, and it's all your fault! :rofl_200:
D'oh is the nicest word you could say.

Also I would give him the award just for letting us know that there are others who do things like that. Me, personally, I never tell anyone. Hide the dumb's inside, so no-one knows.... :confused2: :biglaugh:

I really hate to hear about these D'Oh Moments, but that didn't stop me from Voting Yes !

To put everything in perspective, I have been riding big bikes for only 5 years and got my vmax 3y ago.
I see it as my learning curve: learning by doing.
2y ago I fried my headlight harness because a ****** mistake. It fixed it and proceeded with more electrical work.

So YES, I deserve that homer/goofy award hahaha.

But I have to say thanks to you guys I learn a lot and improve every day :)

Just thought it was good to share the worst like some share the best.
Not sure there is someone as goofy as me, but whoever read it might have checked their bolts lol

You sir, have the correct attitude. :biglaugh:

The School of Hard Knocks won't let me graduate. :rofl_200:

Anyone who freely admits mistakes so we all may learn is eligible in my book!

My buddy lost his D & D cannister off his Ninja 1000 and he was gonna leave it, but I went back & retrieved it. He lost the end cap & the baffle, God knows where they landed! Still have it in the spare parts box, may need it sometime! It's a shorty.

I have done it as well...not a proud moment running down the freeway chasing parts.

Guys, it feels good not being alone haha. Fixing my fork tomorrow, i will be more careful this time :)
