Ed's recent brush with the law makes him deserve this award. Its better that he gets this award than the one the cop would have given him if he would have caught him! Well done Ed !!!

Re: Award Request for CustomMax!

i " WELCOME BROTHER "

Thanks Bro, this is definetly not a group for the faint hearted. I outran at least 15-20 cops back in my V65 days but that bike was relatively quiet compared to the Vmax with my 4-1 Kerker!! That did run through my mind on takeoff. But once I made the decision to go the Biggest thing on my mind was putting DISTANCE between me and him. And once the adrenaline was kickin I just kinda went into an evasion mode looking for anywhere to get behind or into. I'll bet they were as pissed as I was happy that I got away. I also considered not posting because of statute of limitations ******** but I figure anyone who can find this post from 50, good luck convicting someone from an Internet post. Not that I want to go back to doing this 4-5 times a year like I used to but it sure did bring back some heart stopping fun memories. Ed

Thanks everyone who voted for me for this award and Thanks Bob for nominating me and a special thanks and congrats to the new dad Garrett!!
Although this isn't a award I would suggest anyone else should try for. It could have gone bad and had you guys reading about my little adventure in the "in memory of" thread. But hey, although they say "speed kills" but then again so does boredom. I'd rather go out in a final flash of glory on my bike than slumped over in a rocking chair. Just sayin.. Ed
