Back on a VMAX!!! and a ?

About 10 years ago I had a yellow 94 Vmax that I sold to get into trackdays,After going full circle from doing track days on sportbikes to Harleys to dualsports I just bought a 99 vmax with 3000 miles. Man I forgot how much fun these bikes are! Quick question does anyone know how hard it is to put the fork guards from the 01 and newer Vmaxes on one that didn't come with them? Thanks Scott

My 88 doesn't have them.

The newer forks are machined for them to fit. There are some aftermarket add-on versions out there but don't recall where I saw them (other then on a few bikes). They are on there with clamps while the stock newer models have them "popped" on into the groves that are machined in.

The aftermarket ones I looked at from wildhairaccessories.com worked on early forks but he said you had to use the stock fork brace.
