Backrest/luggage rack recommendation

I'm looking at the HAC products and wondered what the opinions here are on the best way to go for an '04 and get a rack and backrest combination?

I have the backrest from HAC and I like it. Matches bike well and quick to get off. I did modify the reflector piece though and used the original piece that came with bike for a cleaner look. There are some instructions on this site on how it is done. Not sure what thread though.

Checkout this thread. I think this is a nice setup and one of our members makes them. The luggage rack looks substantial and will hold more weight than a stock one. I believe it is easy on/easy and the stock grab rail can remain in place.

You're welcome. Here's another thread from a member who bought the luggage rack only and was very pleased with it. You can currently buy the whole setup on the cycleistic website for $264.85 plus shipping. I don't think you can beat that for a sturdy well made setup. The stock setup looks good but it's very expensive, even used and when you can find them used they rarely include the luggage rack which in my opinion is too small and not that sturdy. Good luck.
