Battery R.I.P.

After 6-1/2 years of faithful service, I had to put my old Westco sealed battery to rest. When I installed Exactreps oversize battery box in July of 2000 I went with one of Westco's batteries due to them being on the low end of the price range. I never imagined it would make it this long.

I ordered an identical replacement last night! :eusa_dance:

That's really good life for a bike battery. I'm happy when I get 3 seasons out of them.

I used to average 2 yrs with the Yuasa's. When I swapped over I also put a heavy duty wiring kit from Uncle Fester and a stator from a Venture on it. Not sure if that had any effect on battery life or not. Didn't hurt apparently!

After frying 2 stators over 5 years, a local mekanic recommended the electrex stator for a Venture. It was actually a little cheaper than the Vmax stator. I've had no problems since (knocking on wood).
