Hello all
Been looking at the clutch plates on my Vmax and noticed with my Barnett pressure plate that the central bearing seems gone.
Appearance wise the bearing looks ok but it's hard to move and feels rough/grinding when it does move.
Looking into it I've found some info on a Roadster forum which shows the bearing being changed from a stock 6003 ball bearing to a 7003B bearing. I've put a screenshot below.
Just wanted to see if anyone on here as replaced the bearing and if anyone has, is the 7003B the right bearing for the Vmax Barnett plate?
Thanks everyone

I'd just pull the bearing, and take your info to the local bearing store for a match-up. The counter help should be able to tell you if the other one is the same size, but better materials, or construction or something.

You don't want random metal bits and pieces from the old one in other bearing surfaces. I'd change the oil after you replace the bearing, and use a magnet to see if you can pick-up any metal particulate material out of the drained oil. If you do, I'd change the oil again after maybe 1000 miles and repeat the magnet search for stray ferrous metal.
