Bike Cover

Guys, question for you...My bike sits in my garage but with the weekend warrior woodworking I do it usually ends up getting an occasional layor of sawdust on it. This may be a stupid ass question but I have to ask.. Would covering the bike with a flannel sheet promote any kind of rust?

I don't see any reason that it would, flannel is pretty soft and breathable.

Just wasnt sure if the sheet would retain any moisture from the outside...

I think flannel would be a great option because it wicks moisture instead of absorbing. The only problem I see is that it is going to be hard to get the saw dust off of i so your going to have to always put the same side out. Which shouldnt be a big deal.

As long as its something that is breathable it should be fine. I used to use old sheets or even an old bed comforter.
