Adjuster said theyre not totalling my bike out. Should be getting a check in a few days for repairs. The only problem is my financial company is on the check too and will NOT sign it over until the repairs are completed. I planned on doing the repairs myself, but now I cant because I just dont have the money to front the parts cost. They will sign off on the check once they see before and after pictures. I'm so frustrated!! :bang head: How the hell do they expect me to do the repairs first and THEN have the money that MY insurance gave me to fix it?!

what do you need, just got some stuff maybe I can help you out?

In order to just get it looking normal for financial institution pleasure I will need a right scoop, radiator, radiator right side shroud, and radiator grill.

Adjuster said on top of those I will need front fender, fork rebuild, tire, brake lever, right hand grip, right front exhaust down tube, right fork tube, right engine guard, and a few other things I cant remember right off hand. It will all be in the envelope Progressive is sending with the check.

I was hoping I could just send them a few pics of before the wreck and say that they were from after the repairs were done so I could get the check signed off... but that sounds iffy. I need that check in order to get the **** done! Everything the adjuster said needs done I can for sure do myself, I dont want to have to take it to a mechanic that I dont trust and have him get all the cash for labor...

I have a radiator & grill & a good front fender I could paint to match yours & a set of scoops in the powder coat shop that I would be willing to front you untill you could get the check & pay for them.

Sounds like between us we'll be able to hook you up front, going through my recent Acquisition I have a few goodies too!

Did you get the two bikes Rick?

Yup, 86 minus motor and carbs in pieces, nice Powder coated frame, and an 85(#217) complete but ruff. plus a few odds and ends, handle bars, crash bars, grips. gonna part them.

I wish I had spare parts I don't use I'd give them to you to keep. All I have is new stock mirrors n a brand new aftermarket set of grips. If u want em pm me.

Get a "before" picture, and get someone here with an 06/07 to send you a picture of their bike for the "after". Of course from angles that don't show the tag number.

I may have my front fender still. If your still looking for one at Christmas pm me. I won't be back home till the 22nd. I'm pretty sure I have it. Carbon finish from '09, faded but no damage.

It's yours free for the asking.

Thats a damn good idea:biglaugh:,

but also fraud:ummm:.

I crashed a car once and it was'nt my fault:damn angry: but the tires were bad so i had a guy regrove them before the inspector came out "just in case" , the windshield wasnt broken from the crash but I was pissed and punched it and broke it after the crash:bang head:, when the inspector came the first thing he did was pull out a tread depth gauge, the second thing he did was a walk around of the car, walked all the way around then back to the windshield and asked me "what happened here" HE KNEW, so I told him straight up,"I was pissed after the crash and punched it" He said " I thought so" and paid the whole claim, may not have turned out so well if I had lied.:confused2:

Guess what Im getting at is while a little smoke up someones ass wont hurt, maybe a smoke grenade wouldn't go over so well.
Troy has enough guys willing to help him out:clapping: that he need'nt take the chance!

That would just be begging for trouble RA.....those big insurance companies are powerful & wealthy....they didn't get that way by being stupid. :biglaugh:

I'm sure you will find that the 'after' picture will need to be taken by a local certified bike repair shop or someone similar....hell, I'm smart enough to require that and I'm just a poor dumb Mic!! :rofl_200:

I have both front pipes from my '07, your more than welcome to them. They're just hanging up in my garage, taking up space.
They're like new, as I put on some aftermarkets pretty quick. I guess you can always put on the one you need and make the other in to a Vmax peace pipe :smoke000:

Damn I wish I had something you could use. I don't think so but i'll go check the gee rage after work today.
