Bike sat for a week...

I've only owned this bike for roughly a month and have riding it every day. The weather turned to crap, so I didn't ride it for the last week. I turned the key and the fuel pump did a rapid click for a good 5 seconds. Normally it does a slow click for about 2-3 seconds. Does this mean the carb bowls completely leaked empty from sitting for a week and the fuel pump had to fill them again?

Not uncommon for some of the fuel in the bowls to evaporate over a weeks time, mine does the same thing...............................Tom.

OK, I was afraid that it was leaking down the carbs and contaminating the oil!

Yep......mine does the same thing as well.

Same here, Just think of it as the MAX telling you it missed you 8^)
