Read through, but a little confused. What's the conclusion regarding COPs, particularly connections to existing wiring and retaining Vboost ?
For myself not necessarily about drag strip performance, more reliability and parts availability.
 
Stock parts are as reliable if not more so. COP sticks tend to have a higher wear factor but there are less corrosion points. BUT, with clean good stock parts there is zero advantage. One thing to be careful of is that some unresistored kits seem to alter the Vboost engagement point AND we've seen a number of CDI boxes cratered that almost always point to bikes that had unresistored kits. BUT, having said that many have done them without any CDI issues and no resistors.
