Brake pedal removal

Brake pedal removal:
I’d like to lower it a bit, bigger boots. I took out the hex bolt and loosened the 10mm bolt, it won’t budge and I don’t want to mess it up. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Most times, using a large slotted blade screwdriver in that slot of the brake pedal hub to spread the collar a bit and then pulling it off, works. I see you're posing this for the 2nd Generation forum section, I'm only experienced with the 1st Gen. bikes, but I suspect they're similar.

6” platform double suedes might help…lol

I think the bolt has to be completely removed, not just loosened

Yes, as there's a semi-circular kerf cut in the axle, so yes the bolt needs removal.

Only 1 notch lower makes a big difference. Be aware that your boot may scrape pavement if braking in a hard right lean.
