Hey guys .I pulled my rear brake pads and they are almost paper thin.i see alot of differant types of pads out there and was wondering whats good for my max.

We sell the EBC and Galfer brands. Both are good pads in my opinion.

Sean

Raer Brake Pads:
EBC FA88 (Organic) - Similar to Stock Pads
OR
EBC FA88HH (Metal Sintered) - More Stopping Power/Less Squeeking and Dust/Last at least Twice as long
These require "a lighter foot" when Braking though.
I personally have used them for years and I Love them and I haven't ever locked up the Rear Tire because of them.

Front Pads:
EBC FA160HH (Metal Sintered)

EBC FA88 are Organic (ie. Kevlar/Dupont aramid fibre) Pads.
IMO they don't last long enough, produce way too much Dust and Squeal like a pig.

I've got Galfer wave rotor and HH pads on the back. Using a light foot is putting it mildly. I'm planning on changing to something with less bite and more importantly less brake dust.

^ I've never had an issue with them and I've had the HH Pads on my Rear since I changed them with EBC Organics the first time about 10 or 11 years ago.
And honestly the Stock and EBC Organic Pads produced Way more Dust than the EBC HH Pads do.
But I use the Front Brakes for Most of my Braking and Only use the Rear Brake when Necessary (like avoiding an accident) or when creeping up at traffic lights.

This sounds like a good setup ,other than the dust.

I pulled the fronts and backs ,gosh! these come off easy .The fronts are hh with bronze backing and I cant tell the back ones due to the wear .i will say the fronts tend to grab at low speed and i dont like that but the backs are real smooth and no sqealing from the brakes at all.

ebc hh up front and ebc organics rear from sean. awesome price and he has 'em in stock.

email or call sean, not sure of his current pricing. usually $30-$35 per caliper tho

more dust = less rotor wear. Less dust = more rotor wear. Basically somethings got to give. I like the HH fronts and Organic rear combination. $100 shipped on a set of front and rear pads.

I like your wording .I have done more brake jobs on cars than I care to remember and you are right .Something has to give.
