I have been talking to a oil "expert" hhe says yes. if you want you can use seafoam for a hundred miles in your old oil before you drain it. this is suppose to help clean out the motor. or you can buy a product that amsoil sells that does the same thing. dont know that its neceassry though

Which do you guys prefer, synthetic or petrol... ? I hear good and bad from both sides. The dealer says to just run Yamalube non-synthetic... go figure... What has anyone heard about Penzoil m/c 20w50 ?

I use Castrol GTX or Shell Rotella T. They are both very good. Yamalube is overpriced and it doesn't shift as nice with that oil.

I run Dino Oil, 20-50, change it often. Currently have Castrol 20-50 in the bike now, fine, just fine. That's bike oil, not car, That's another thread:biglaugh:
