Carb sync issues on an '88 Vmax

I'm trying to sync my carbs with a new Motion Pro tool. The picture shows where the fluid stays no matter what I do. If I turn the A/F stews on #4 or #2 all the way in the bike acts like it will stall. #1 or #3 turning the A/F screw all the way in does nothing. Bike sounds normal at idle and is running pretty good. I cant sync snything.

What could cause this?

You gotta turn the synch screws, not the AF screws. Check the sticky in the carb forum for a how to.

Were they calibrated first before using?

EDIT +1 ^^ above^^ use the sync screws on the carbs.

That was easy....thanks for the quick answer. I did calibrate but I was turning the wrong screws!!!
