Checking fork oil level while on bike

I have a leaky fork oil seal on my 09 VMAX that I just ran a seal saver through hoping it may work. Anyone have luck checking and filling fork oil while on bike or must I remove fork?

I'm sure you could, but if it hasn't been serviced in a while you should probally get the seals replaced and oil changed.

Those seal savers are a waste of time and money.

Two choices. One, go with thicker oil and have stiffer front end and hope they won't leak. Two, replace the rubber and go with what you want.

You can do it properly only by taking the front end off.
