choke and sucking sound

Hi folks,

I've wondered about the sucking sound the bike makes when choke is applied. If I'm correct, choke just puts more fuel past the throttle plates. why would that cause a sucking sound? also, as long as the cylinders go back in can I be sure my choke is not stuck open? still trying to fight a bad gas mileage issue and want to hit it from all angles.

Not certain of the noise but am certain that it's not a "choke." It's a fuel enrichment circuit... :whistlin: :clapping:

The choke levers pulls the plungers open which basically open up another circuit from the float bowl. The noise is the engine sucking raw fuel from that circuit.

Anyway, it's normal.
