I plan on riding up from Washington and will try to get a few runs in. Never dragged a bike at a track before, so it might be fun night of watching for some!?

I'll be there with my brother and nephew to laugh if that makes you feel any better... I kid I kid... Can't laugh at someone for trying. I won't do it for fear of wrecking it on the track...:stickyman:

See ya'll there then!

Chris

I don't wanna ride over by myself, but if I can get a few guys over here to ride with me, I may be there. Heck even do a shakedown run on a track with the Max!

Blast it, I'm out on this one. Somthing came up, and has me aggrivated. It's looking like next year before I'm gonna ride with you eastern Iowa folks! :(

Looks like 4WARND is out so now it's just me my bro and my nephew... lol Just like it started... :biglaugh:

What about me.... I'm still willing to ride...... I may be trailering it if I'm by myself, but I'm still willing to put on a good show..... who wouldn't like to see a virgin f...., well you get the idea. Chris, if you get the chance, throw my sweatshirt in your car and I'll try to grab it from you.

I'f anyone has any good tips for launches and riding the 1/4 mile, I'm all ears.

I had to leave early (5 year old nephew) but saw Jeffs first run ever on a bike and he ran an 11.81...:thumbs up::thumbs up:

It was 52-53?F so temp was awesome. The Busa next to him ran a 10.??? I think...:confused2:

Anyway... Just wanted to say GREAT JOB JEFF!

Well... I guess I popped my cherry. Here is how I did if anyone is interested.

1st Pass: Rrobably launched around 2500 RPM, 27PSI in the rear tire
R/T... .395
60'... 2.029
330... 5.109
1/8... 7.655
MPH... 95.54
1000... 9.895
1/4... 11.815
MPH... 116.51

2nd Pass: Launched around 3200?, 23PSI in the rear
R/T... .279
60'... 1.931
330... 4.943
1/8... 7.468
MPH... 96.31
1000... 9.694
1/4... 11.597
MPH... 117.48

3rd Pass: Launched around 4000, stayed with 23 PSI
R/T... .851 - I think I fell alseep????
60'... 1.969
330... 4.990
1/8... 7.524
MPH... 95.94
1000... 9.770
1/4... 11.724
MPH... 114.1

On my third pass, I decided to shift into 5th... probably not a good idea, but I wanted to see how it effected my times and speed.

For anyone that hasn't been to the track, you gotta go! I was nervious as SH!*&#, but had a blast. The busas were out in full force, and I did run against an '83 Seca. I need to get a shift light installed and I'll be ready.

I think I'm gonna be hooked....I want in the 10's!!!!!!!

not too bad on your runs for a newbie. You need more MPH if you want a chance to get into the 10's. You will need around 120-122mph and the only way to increase that is to increase your Horsepower or lose a lot of weight.

You will also need to get your 60' times down to low 1.60's (or you will need a lot more power).

11.59 is awesome! You should be proud! That's with a standard (not strapped down) bike too! :thumbs up:

I've got pics but in my bros camera... I should have grabbed the card... damn...
