Hi,
Vmax-92 The engine only runs on choke. When I remove the lid of the air can, a coughing sound is heard from the carburettor above cylinder 3. Some simple troubleshooting tips are desired please

I suspect the small pilot jets in the jet block are plugged solid. It requires carb removal, splitting into two pairs of carbs, removal of the float bowls, removal of the jet blocks: each contains two jets. Poke-out the blockages in the pilot jets and possibly the other jets, and use an ultrasonic soak for the carb bodies. Be sure to immediately purge any water in the carb fuel enrichment cylinders! Failure to remove water can result in seizing of the enrichment pistons in their bores.
