Delkevic mufflers

I got a set to tone my bike down a little but im not sure it will without baffle's in. Big outlet's

Those are pretty small mufflers with a huge outlet. Don't think it will quiet down your bike... :biglaugh:

Hope you can get a video of them on the bike. Would like to hear them.

Trying to get the muffler even is a bitch. I got them close. This is without baffle and still to loud. I have the baffle in and its still a little loud but im ok with it. I dont like the idea of having baffles in. Not sure how good it will flow. Im not happy with delkevic at all because one of the muffler's wasent built right. I couldent get one of the baffles to drop in so i had to pound it in place and try to start the set screw. While i was trying to start the set screw i got the muffler all marked up and now i will need to buff them so the muffler will look nice and new. I installed UFO full system in less time Jons ufo head pipe is the best you can buy and i think if he would biuld a can like the one i have on my bike now he would sell alot more systems.

My baffles were a pain in the ass to put in also but the final product is good and they sound great. Can't wait to hear them in person.unk:

I have the 13 inch s/s ovals and have had no issues at all with them. Presently running them without the baffles.

The thing that sucks is if i want to ride with the baffle's out i would have to beat the one baffle out of the muffler and who know what can of warms that will open. If it was just the perferated tube sliding on the inner ss wall of the can it wouldent be that bad to tap in and out but the can has a inner perferated wall to it and than you beat the perferated baffle through that inner wall and like i said its a bitch to line up the set scew hole with the threads. And on one of my mufflers the baffle fit like a glove so that tells me that one of my mufflers is not built right. and lee said both of his muffler had baffles that went in hard. I agree with lee and like my muffler now that i have got them installed but i dont want to move them for anything and i will be talking to the builder about it.

Interesting - I've been thinking about these mufflers for a while, and will follow this thread to see what happens here.....

as always with most things better direction would help alot. and the fact that one sliped in nice and one had to be forced in isent right. Delkevic told lee that the baffle should go in hard so it dont rattle. So will i end up with a rattle now. I watched a video of a guy changing a delkevic baffle on a rocket and it slipped in nice. Like said other than the baffle deal the mufflers seam to be a nice set up but the baffle deal is a big deal if you want to take the bike to the drag strip now and than.
