You're right, I "MEANT " to say hitting the starter button, and the bike didn't start and remains off. Oh, and the sound is like a small hammer hitting something solid.

And that is excatly what i meant at the beggining of this thread.

That sounds like a worn starter clutch. That usually happens due to the kick-back that occurs when you have a weak battery.
