Dim T.S. warning

My recently acquired 1985 V Max has a very dim turn signal warning light. Difficult to tell if it is on when the sun is bright. I have changed bulbs with some of the other bulbs on the dash and the bright bulbs go dim when plugged into the socket for the turn signal indicator. The light does flash but not brilliantly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Take the bulb out and check the voltage there. But more likely check to make sure you have a good ground there.

Some bulbs come with a colored cover to change the look of the bulb, I wonder if there isn't something like this or maybe just some dust on the inside of the bulb cover. Maybe blow some air in there or take a windex moistened q-tip to clean in there.

I agree, sounds like a bad ground.
