I got married last week and ended up moving so a very bust week. In the hustle and bustle turned out that I lost my only key to my Vmax. Tore apart my apartment, garage, and car. Nothing. Sean helped me pull my ignition and I'm getting the key made this week. But I noticed a hose that the end is frayed and appears not be attached to anything??? I've rode my bike for over 2k miles sense I've had it and not ran into an issue. I never even saw the thing? Did it come off of something that I missed when my room mate was moving the bike in the garage this last week or two? Do I need to replace the coolant hoses? They look to be original and not sure if they deteriorate like brake lines..

Bike has hayabusa calipers, r1 drilled and slotted, new pads and lines front and rear and a rebuilt clutch mc/galpher line. I've been hard at work on the safety stuff.

Preparing to do the valve cover gaskets/valves with the sticky on here.

As Mr Lynch says it would normally go into a canister like this (top arrow)

The canister Steve has indicated is called the 'puke can' and is used to process crankcase vapors. There are two plastic nipples coming off the bottom, the crankcase vent tube goes on the smaller one and the braided line you are referring to goes on the larger one.

You won't have any running issues if it isn't connected but will probly see a lot of oily residue on the top of the motor.

Thank you guys for all of the fast answers. I do have a stage 7 jet kit and kerker k-series that the previous owner place on it. Any reason to have it without having the pods? Can it be removed or just zip tie it up where it looks like it was taped and leave it?

On the bright side I got replacement keys made! 2 of them for $17.85 not a bad deal if you ask me. Any one needs some and can get me their ignition code I'll gladly have a set made and mail them out. Why not help you guys and a local shop out??
