So in a nutshell, undercut the tranny, install the bigger drive shaft and install your D2 and have at . It's only money and time, money and time.
Or Avoid all that headache and cost and just use a Single PCW Spring or a Barnet 6 Spring Clutch Conversion Kit.
I have seen way too many people Destroy their Transmissions and Snap the Driveshaft regularly using the DD Mod over the years, which is why I used the Barnett Clutch Kit instead.

Unless you run your bike at the Strip on a regular basis, I just don't see any real reason to do the DD Mod personally.

I busted two driveshafts with the double d and stock motor, and it may have had a role in my second gear failure although I think that was more me abusing it.
Clutch pull with DD was a pain in the dick too. I got used to it but didn't like it.

Running a single PCW spring now on a 1540cc motor and it holds just fine.

I would NEVER install a heavy duty driveshaft. It's a designed ( whether intended or not) weak link and should remain that way in my humble opinion.

I really like the idea of girdling the middle drive gear out put shaft area after seeing some is those failures.

thx for all the input, with the clutch that doesn't slip the only problem is that you can't go crazy doing burn outs with the rear tire anymore, once the tire heats up it's gonna hook up to the road and something is gonna break, it's like putting a 240 or 300 tire in the back when that tire hooks up with the road while doing a burn out something is gonna break, saw a vmax with a 240 tire tear the universal joint apart after a 20 foot burn
