Drag Race bike project, gen II

I have a datalogger in ECU and have noticed the oil pressure is dropping to near zero at the first gear. Did made a baffler plate. if it doesn't help I will add some fins to it.

Dig the wrinkle-wall rear tire deformation!

An improved version with one fin went in. Will see in the next race does the baffle keep the oil pressure up at 1st gear. Did also increase max. oil pressure from 5 bar to 5.2 bar and made a dummy oil-level sender.

Since I driving 7cm lowered front fork a hydraulic bottom end damber has been active most of the time.
Did made some modifications to make the damper more suitable for a low suspension.

DId also play one more time with the ultra massive rear brake disc.

A Stock rotor 1.8kg


A lightened stock rotor 1.6kg. It is a pain to machine :bang head:.


"onequickbuck" ultra light rotor 0.5 kg. Now it does make sense:clapping:.

I think it was about 1973 that Yamaha used the black/white stripe on a yellow background. That paintjob on the FHRA Super Gas Bike Champion does a good job of reminding us of the racing history and his winner is another chapter in the Yamaha winner's book, congratulations!

Yep, Kenny Roberts TZ700 1973
Finnish Jarno Saarinen was racing Yamaha and died because an accident at the same year.
Btw I have been studying in the same class room than Jarno Saarinen at technical high school, 20 years later.
