His ape hangers were way too short. I always get better drift control with 31" hangers, and a 25 lb bag of lead shot in the oil tank. Center of gravity is the key,....that and the uncanny balance control inherant in the torsional oscilations of a non-counter balanced v-twin harley.
I'll let all you Harley drift wanna-bees in on another secret technique: since the brakes work like shit, reverse the adjusters or valving in the brake controls so they are on full time. Its the only way to light up the rear wheel for more than 8 ft at a time.
