His ape hangers were way too short. I always get better drift control with 31" hangers, and a 25 lb bag of lead shot in the oil tank. Center of gravity is the key,....that and the uncanny balance control inherant in the torsional oscilations of a non-counter balanced v-twin harley.
I'll let all you Harley drift wanna-bees in on another secret technique: since the brakes work like ****, reverse the adjusters or valving in the brake controls so they are on full time. Its the only way to light up the rear wheel for more than 8 ft at a time.
