I installed a dyna 3000 ignition on my 98 Max mainly because i needed a rev limiter. Im interested in its ignition advance and retard ability but have a unique issue. The directions state the map sensor must be attached to the #2 cylinder to work. But i have VGas carbs and in John Cornells infinite wisdom (That was a joke......Don't hurt me!) he didn't supply a vacuum port on any of the intake runners. is my timing at full advance at all throttle positions sence its not connected? Im sure theres a reason he didn't put a vacuum port on, or he forgot, i don't know:confused2: Lol. Just want to know the negitives on not having it connected. Thanks! Zak

No you are not fully advanced.
Page 8-15 of the tech manual shows the graph based on vacuum.
Since the vacuum unit is seeing atomospheric pressure, no vacuum, the highest you will get is the normal 33* BTDC
If you are 3.15" Hg or above you will get full advance.
At full throttle doesnt matter much because it will drop the advance.
Cruising around town you are losing some power because of not having the higher advance.
