Probably should not voice my oppinon again but I would almost guarantee I could put tires on any one of yalls bike with out no weights by clocking the tire to the right position and you would have no clue.

Explain better please, Kyle? :confused2: I love secrets.

No secrets to it. A lot of the tires do not even have dots any more doing to the overlap in tires & being more balanced on the tires . Most of the balancing now is doing to the rim being out of tact. If you see where the heavy spot is on the wheel with out the tire & if the tire has a dot put the dot where that spot is & rotate the tire from there to balance it. If you look at my bike there is not 1 weight on the wheels & my bike gets run up to 150 MPH on a regular basis

The Shinkos that I run....have balancing dots on them.
Yes mine do to but a lot of the tires do not now days. My bike has pilot power radials on them whith no weights & my girl friends has Shinkos on it with no weights & I invite any one to ride them. I do not ride my bikes easy & any one that knows me knows that well.

I tried to do a test with dyna beads...."as scientifically" as I could. I rode down a particular piece of road at a particular speed. Drove back, and installed the beads, and drove back on the same piece of road. At the same speed, I noticed less vibration out of the mirrors. The speed was 75 mph. It might be in my head....but that was about as accurate of a test that I could do.

This are a dyna bead knock off brand like the ones I was referring to for $1.70/oz. I guess the technology is not copyrighted since there seems to be several vendors now selling these. As for now, I have no wheel weights and I had the bike up to 120mph on Sunday without issues. I still like he insurance by having these installed.

I used this guy for my beads of ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tire-Balanc...Parts_Accessories&hash=item337da26d29&vxp=mtr

He even packages them in the sizes you want. Makes it easy to put the right amount in each wheel. :clapping:

They are the same size as the Dyna beads I first paid $20 for. :bang head:

I've been running Dynabeads in my M109R for years. I've had it up to 150, and, while I cannot honestly say that I was paying any attention to anything but the road in front of m and holding on at that speed, I can say that I know that it is smooth as glass up through 120ish. Really, after that, I just don't know!

The last time around I got some of the knock-off / cheaper beads. I notice absolutely no difference at all. They work just as well.

I have 5 Oz I got for my next M109R tire change - I think I'll be using most of them for the VMax tires. I'll probably use about 2 oz each in the 130 front in the 180 rear. I read that using more than required does not affect the balancing ability of the beads.

On Saturday I got a new back tire mounted with balance beads. We wanted to check it on a Snap-on tire balancer to see how they worked. 1st try it showed .75 ounces out of balance. Ran it again and it showed .50 ounces out of balance. Third try showed .25 ounces out and a 4th run showed 0.00 out of balance. This proved what I already knew- balance beads work!

I got my last load from E-Bay, no issues. Speed tested. Next time I changs tires I'm dumping them all in at once. They are a pia to send through the valve stem, takes forever. Are you supposed to take the valve core out?

I don't see how they would get thru the Schrader valve otherwise.

LOL! Yeah, removing the core helps a bit! :biglaugh:

Most people I know just throw the entire bag in the tire when mounting it. The little plastic bag makes no difference - it pretty much disintegrates over time. The ones I got this time around came from Checkered Flag Tires at http://www.tirebalancebeads.com. $1.70 / ounce.
