Yes, just call Garm as I stated in my first post. He is located in California so if you call after lunchtime there, say 4:00pm, youd have a good chance to catch him.

Hey do you remember all of your settings for the shift i? I set my rpm from 2000 to 8000. Sensetivity at 5. 25% RPM hysteresis. calibration value 1. or 1 light on.

I dont really recollect off the top of my head. I know it was just a few up clicks and I was all done. Most is set to default since I liked its setup right out of the box.

Cool gadget, if I didn't already have a Raptor light I'd be interested.

Though I'm not sure the use of having it display everything from idle to redline, wouldn't it be more useful to have it start at maybe 8500 and "light up" so the red comes on at 9500? I like the battery monitor feature, though I've found my Vmax "leaks" electricity, typically the farther you are from the battery the more voltage lost. For example, I have 13.5 volts across the battery with the motor idling. At the headlight, it's down to about 12.5. Off idle, there is 14.4 across the battery, but only about 13 at the headlight. I have a Kuryakan LED voltmeter that was originally on my Magna, but every key switched power I find is down a good volt from actual, so I haven't bothered. On the Magna I spliced it into the headlight fuse and it gave two green lights all the time...meaning 14-14.5 v. On the Vmax, it flickers annoyingly between yellows and maybe 1 green.

By the sound of the bike I can usually tell that the light (set at 9200) is going to come on any second now, and "ready" myself to shift as soon as I see it. I wouldn't trust my ear to prevent over-revving though.

so i've been eying these since they showed up on the forum, but with the little one on the way and the wedding recently i just couldn't swing it.. so guess what my wife ordered for my for my 'wedding gift'? haha couldnt' be happier, will be in next week maybe (she unfortunately didnt' know about the local deal, so ordered it from AU). however i'm stoked!

Just ordered one yesterday. Took awhile to get ahold of Garm, probably because of the Memorial Day holiday; should have just left a message to have him call me back :ummm:
I finally did reach him on his cell phone, he then called me back promptly from his office to complete my order. I ordered the curved, green / amber / red version. Will be a nice colorful addition to the V-Max's speedometer area !

Thanks Vmax2extreme for getting us all a discount on this ! Great price.

I have just tested an ecliptech shift-i shift light and these things are great. Fully waterproof and all LED progressively. Fully programmable shift light with integrated volt meter and alternator tester. Took me about 30 minutes tops to wire and mount this unit. VERY EASY INSTALLATION!!!

I worked a deal from a local reseller so instead of the $169 plus shipping from oversees, we can get it for $139 shipped in all formats.

Here is the link from the MFG:

For this deal, you need to contact:
Garm @ Micro Image
(818) 8571926

Tell Garm that your from the VMAXFORUM for the discount!

I just updated Garms phone number so now he's more readily available. He sent me a message yesterday saying thanks to everyone who's ordered one already and he just placed a larger order so he has better inventory of these units for us.

in her defense she had 44 magnum secretly contact me, and since i didn't think she was gonna buy one i didn't mention the contact.... sucks too full price is considerably more, esp shipped from au!

i can get vids of other things too but overall this thing is great. tons of customization and its bright as hell. i went the extra mile and put a 3.5mm headphone jack as a quick connect between instrument cluster and light. too many times that hard wired line has had me being pissed off! the voltage meter works nice (not sure if its 100% accurate but i'll find out, plus the calibration is changable!). tons of options for the way it lights up too...

i'd highly recommend it not having test rode it yet, which i should tomorrow!

oh and also in the vid i had it set from 2k - 5k just for demonstrational purposes. you can set the first light and last light wherever you want and it will do the calculations for you

sweet man awesome, for sure i want one now for my bike...... thanks MM i mean garrett hahahahah looks sweet man. i take it same easy three wire hook up eh?

yea man just as easy. the double stick tape actually seems to hold pretty damn well to be honest, i wish there was a better way. one thing the curve on the shift light is different than our speedo so it takes 2-3x tape in some places to get it to meet fully contacted if you get what i'm saying. there may be better places to mount it than i did but i wanted my tripometer and toll pass easily accessible.

the 3.5mm jacks from radioshack worked tits too, makes unconnecting the instrument cluster if it ever needs to be quite easy.

wonder can you keep it on that side and make the lights go green to red from the bottom up? know what i mean......

I've heard they will do custom orders... and their support is great but no experience myself...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIsz0XJs6YE Night run. It is amazing! Never missing a shift and now i don't even need to think about it. Set it and Forget it!

Man, I like that look better than all lighting up progressively. This shift light has so many bells and whistles one needs to play around with all the settings. I think I am going to reprogram to that setup for awhile now.
