Greetings from a new member, Can anyone help with this one? Fitted a new battery but failed to solve the problem of non starting. When I switch ignition on I get a neutral light showing but nothing else and when I thumb the starter button the oil and ignition light come on while the lights dim, and the starter makes no noise. I can hear the fuel pump come on but nothing else. I jumpered accross the solenoid and the engine turns over but without a spark, it's like an immobiliser is cutting in. I checked the side stand switch and it's ok. any help appreciated.

Check your neutral switch too.

I'm thinking it can be bypassed simply by pulling in the clutch lever? :ummm:

There's also that little square relay on the left just under the TCI box, which is known to sometime fail. To get to it, remove the left scoop, and the panel that holds the flasher relay, fuel pump relay and vboost box and connector.
Otherwise your TCI could be gone, maybe check with Sean Morley ([email protected]) as he runs a parts exchange and may be able to help you.

You will have that symphtoms when:
-You're trying to start the bike with the gear is on, you need to press the clutch to fire the engine then.
-your neutral switch(as noted) is not working, try to connect the
wire from neutral switch to the ground/frame. You will find the neutral switch connector just under the left gas tank side panel.
-your bike is on the gear on and you will try to open the sidestand
-you oil level sender is bad or disconnected

Those elements creates the whole "Circut Starting Cut-Off".
One of those is bad or have bad wire connection.

Good luck.
