Yep shipping is probably a couple hundred the last one I shipped door to door to Michigan was $ 215 if you go to a loadining dock close by your house you can knock about 50-60 bucks off that.

That's a pretty good price for shipping an engine IMO. Who do you use?

I actually have a friend that works at a local buisness a half mile from my house & I drop it off there & shipping companies vary.

$1,000 overall is cheap money for a running motor that is getting harder & harder to find...just looked at Ebay...$800 is a steal...

Get a stethoscope or a solid metal rod (ear to engine) and you should know pretty quick if the knock is coming from the motor...but if you truly did find metal in the oil then...well...that's basically the last thing you want to find in your oil...especially accompanied with a consistent knock...
