Finally running and looking SO much better

so i like to do things the hard way... big deal ;]

still need to dial in the carbs. (anyone have a carb-tune i can borrow?):worthy:

installed new-to-me radiator, fan and end covers. created my own replacement brake light and will install license plate lights tomorrow. red led running lights in old tail-light mounting holes look like 2 red eyes staring at you in the dark...

will post pics tomorrow (tomorrow = eventually :biglaugh: ).

new paint turned out great - if i do say so myself! :eusa_dance:

old color was blend of original red and some other burgundy metallic - had nicks and dents in top cover, side covers had been pitted and peeling, same with scoops. front fender had been damaged, is now a shorty fender :rofl_200:

now gun-metal metallic grey with metallic silver rally stripes, scoops, side covers. radiator covers and guard gunmetal. still need to touch up frame and engine paint, get a new pair of tires and spend some time on the brakes. oh, and it does not shift into 4th gear... :ummm: any thoughts?

note - took these pics with crappy camera on my phone. yes the lower half is dirty from storage, but the paint looks way better in person!
