I'm not a tinkerer, it seems like it has had what some consider pretty standard mods...Holeshot Performance exhaust with stage 1 jet kit.....
I have a 2000 Vmax, my first summer since I got it running, been commuting to work each day...I have the Holeshot dual exhaust also, and I would suggest open up the carbs, get rid of the stage 1 kit, and replace the main jets with 150 or 147.5 Mikuni jets (not sure where you are located above sea level), and get Sean Morley's muscle kit with the modded airbox and needles...it will give you the best overall power in mid range and top end, even better than the stage 1kit.... just an idea if you really want to max it out!
