EDIT: I see that i have accidently posted this in Gen2 forum... apologies.. can an admin move it over to the correct forum?

Hi all,

So, Ive done the fork seal replacement yesterday and noticed one part was missing on both tubes, the spacer which you should slide in from the top of the tube, over the springs.

Is this a must or can this be excluded when having progressive springs? I bought the bike like this.

Thanks.

Are you referring to the spacer(s) #23 & 43?

If so yes, you need them as they apply preload to the springs which is required to give the desired amount of static sag.
NB - these sit on top of the springs.
NNB - The OE springs are progressively wound or are they springs made by Progressive?
