Front pegs loose

My front pegs on my '96 are so loose & sloppy that they make my clutch lever look like a finely machined piece of art. I'm not that worried about it, I figure I can always remove the pin, drill the hole bigger & install a grade 8 bolt, I'm just wondering if this is a common VMAX thing or a lot of abuse by the PO. The rear pegs are great & my buddys '85 V65 Sabre has very little play in his. :ummm:

My front pegs are tight but my clutch lever sounds like yours. I know the clutch lever is a common issue, but I haven't hear many have problems with the pegs.
