Does anyone know or has anyone fitted a 20ltr tank the fifteen is a little limiting.I have seen them for sale ,but wont buy just on spec.

Hey thanks for the response mine is a 97, I don't know if the frame has changed .Did you have any problems?

The only real problems I had was (1)actually fitting the tank and rear sub-frame in but a friend helped (2) customizing the inner plastic rear tire guard and (3) fitting the LH side cover afterwards. I personally think it is a lot for an inexperienced tinkerer. Kind of like a puzzle without an actual photo to go by, hahaha. I don't know if the 1st Gen will be easier but I kind of think it will be as the rear fender is much easier. The 2nd Gen is tighter fitting all round.

Mine is a '99.
It is a tight fit (code for 'you need to do a fair bit of shoving to get it in') but apart from that no issues.
It was also possible to get it out again when I had the fame re-sprayed.
The extra five litres doesn't sound much but it does give a much better range.
The other advantage is that being plastic corrosion isn't a problem
