Hmm... I'm now starting to think about something like this http://cgi.ebay.com/KODAK-Zx1-DIGIT...eo_Cameras?hash=item3efa76dfc0#ht_4773wt_1165

despite it's shape it could be mounted without too much trouble and being HD
makes a difference, bang for buck I think it could be good. Youtube clips of it look pretty good .
My Canon camera takes outstanding HD video but I'm not strapping it anywhere my bike as it's too valuable.
The little waterproof Kodak just might do the job.

Thinking the same thing a while back I posted that I had purchased this Cannon and was totally surprised by the videos shot with it. Originally bought it for the 10X zoom. Maybe making up a Plexiglas box for it wouldn't be a bad idea for bar mounting. One draw back is that there doesn't seem to be remote trip available for it. Suppose that could be simply designed into the box. Oh boy! Here we go again.

Well, I've gone and purchased one from Ebay so I'll be a test pilot and try it out.
Of the same group is the upgraded version being the Kodak Zi8 but more expensive.
Anyway with a bit of engineering (duct tape) I'll mount mine when it arrives and have a play.

Here's a sample of the Kodak I bought.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3c5hc3OHYM

I may try my little Cannon A590 on a handlebar Ram mount. I just need a ball mount to screw into the camera mount. I'm sure the audio will be wind distorted which seems to be a issue with the all in one types. Here's a quick video I shot of the Yamaha Demo ride I went to last summer, where the VMOA group (including Kelvin Lane) and a wild alcohol injected Vmax (pics included, I forgot the owners name, sorry) were leaving after not getting to ride the '09 Vmax.

nice looking frame braces on the one next to the '09

That's my old turbo setup... sold it to Don Bricker. Donno if he still owns it. It was gas originally. He must have a big fuel tank. LOL he's got power adders all over that thing. How did it run? Did you happen to get any pics of left side of the bike?

Ok, that name sounds familiar, I met about 30 people that day and only remember a couple of the names. It did sound wicked but he had his wife on the back so I don't think he got on it too hard, it looked very nice. This is the only LH side picture that I took, then here is a picture of Don and wife when they were getting ready to leave and lastly the reason why I drove over 350(one way!) miles to go to this event, to ride the '09 Vmax!
I'll learn to take more pictures at these events... there was a lot more going on there from dynos, group photo shoot for Star and more Vmax's (about 30 altogether). Can you believe that I only took one picture of the '09 Vmax too!

Thanks Brian,

I'm the same way about going to events and having a camera capable of taking a thousand pics and coming home with 10. He hasn't changed it much aside from the alcohol.

Here's the original build pics I posted a while back. That bike ran 8.70's all day long on a 1260 motor and all I'd have to do between rounds is drink a Coke.

TURBO

Any issues with the pipe coming out at the side there, such as cooking your leg? :ummm: I've always wondered about that set up.

If I were to do another that was intended for street use, I would have changed that plumbing setup. For drag racing it didn't matter... why I asked Brian if he had the pic of the other side actually. Guess it doesn't bother Don :eek:h yeah: riding two up.
