Went to wake the Max up this morning... Put in a gallon of gas, and turned on the key to start the bike. As I was cranking it I noticed a puddle of gas on the floor. Investigating showed that the PAJ2 on the left front carb was leaking a major amount of fuel. Figuring a stuck float, I gave the carb a couple taps with the wooden handle of a screwdriver. This slowed the leakage to a trickle. Maybe a drop every 5 seconds. It's coming directly out of the PAJ....

Maybe some gum **** in the float needle?? I'm gonna get a bottle of Seafoam and dose it heavy to see if it clears out whatever is messing things up.

With the airbox on the engine - it runs great!

It's been so long since I've been in these carbs, I forgot how to do anything to them!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Went back out to the garage after the last post. Carb had stopped leaking fuel. Restarted - no leaks at all. Mixed 1/2 can Seafoam in 2 1/2 gallons of fresh gas, put it in the tank, and took off for a 10 mile ride.

Bike ran fine.. Got it home and there was absolutely no sign of a problem with that carb.. I had run the carburetors totally dry last fall - wonder if the pivot for the float just needed to get some fuel on it to "lube" the pivot?? In any case, all seems well for now. I figured the problem wasn't too serious when 99.9% of the leaking stopped when I tapped the float bowl with the screwdriver....

Bags on, signals moved and replaced with mini LED's. New rear tire waiting to go on. (I'm gonna get a front one with a few bucks my brother sends me for my Birthday in April... I'll do them both before Thunder...):punk:

Gonna rain tomorrow.:confused2:

Then a bit more snow early next week!:bang head:

Almost forgot - got the Roadstar out too, but I didn't bother riding it, just a dose of Seafoam and a couple gallons of gas.
