Good morning, folks.

I've got a question. When bolting the rear differential (the one that attaches to the back wheel) to the unit that holds the driveshaft, the Yamaha service manual says to use a Yamabond quick gasket maker.

I guess the best option would be the new Yamabond 6B???

Is this okay to use, or are there better options?

Thanks very much!

didn't read that in the aftermarket manual nor did I do it either. its not like the swingarm is completely enclosed. nothing shoudl begetting in there anyways except maybe a little grease eh?

the seal on the diff side of the driveshaft should seal up the rear diff i believe.

I wonder why the serive manual says to use it then?

I'm gonna use it anyway. Couldn't hurt.
