Nothing that is just the standard years the carbon came on. it will fit from 85-2007

I should have mentioned that the '99 - '01 was the years of this carbon fiber color scheme, but it will fit on ALL GEN1's.

Hi Dave,
I really am unsure if its real carbon fiber or not. I would be lead to believe its the design since its still all steel. All replacement Yamaha OEM Faux tanks do not come with the yamaha medalians. Its a bare take as shown. You can always pull the ones off your current tank or buy new OEM ones.

If it is a factory Yamaha piece no it is not real carbon it was just a layover that Yamaha used but is very nice looking.

I also believe there were two different shades of C.F. layover for the 3 years they were used .

If it is a factory Yamaha piece no it is not real carbon it was just a layover that Yamaha used but is very nice looking.

Yeah I believe a 1999 and 2000 (like mine) weren't as dark as the 2001-2002.
But I don't think it would be too noticeable on the bike.

I thought it was for 3 years, not 4? Anyhow I will verify the exact color code for the year match.
