This wasn't the best summer for the old girl. I got maybe 100 good miles out of her, but she's running like crap now, and I haven't got the ambition to work on the problem. Erratic idle, and popping through the pipes when releasing the throttle. I'm pretty certain that the problem is an air leak at one of the intake boots. Theres a good gas filter inline from the tank, and no debris is visible there. The tank looks pretty good inside. Danny did the carbs a couple of years ago so I don't believe that's the problem. Theres always next year, or I just might set it up for long term storage and let my son deal with it in a few years when he moves back to Buffalo and gets a house. I think she might be catching up to me, as I only put a couple thousand miles on the RoadStar. Getting old sucks.
