About the Banshee, my retired Yamaha factory mechanic friend said the Banshee top end on a RD350 is a screaming combo. Kinda like the TD top end was back in the day, a potent way to go to the track or on the street, if you dared.
Here's what he was working-on when we were talking Banshees and VMaxes. Ed was a factory Yamaha mechanic here in south FL when the VMax was released. He likes them, me too!
He's retired from factory work in a bike shop, now he maintains an extravagant collection of bikes and cars for a wealthy collector. Next to this car was an old functional Winston Cup car the owner drives 'for fun.' He also drives the Ferrari in club racing. He has a lot more. Vincents, Rickmans, Kawi H2R's, H1R's, Yamaha OW's, Honda CR factory roadracers, quite a collection.
