A buddy of mine came up with the idea of mirror finish polished stainless steel trim strips for the head cooling fins, had some prototypes made and I installed some on my '86. There appears to be some fitment issues due to varying dimensions on the heads from different year bikes.....some of the heads seem to be wider than others....which is kind of puzzling.

Bottom line is some fitment may be required.

These will be available soon, probly in the $75/set range....what do you guys think....anybody interested?

Looks sharp Danny. curious about the adhesive, or do they "snap" on.

Uh.....you couldn't clean your tires & wheels before snapping pics to show us your sexy new bling, Danny? :surprise:

Just kidding. They look great on there.

Well, they certainly do brighten the ride up, but I think I would put the $ towards a new tire instead, or whatever is needed in the way of maintenance. (That from a guy sporting a set of Exactrep freeze-plug covers which mimic the 'fins' above them).

Isn't that getting towards the Harley 'bling' side of the equation? Covers for no purpose other than aesthetic enhancement? Whatever happened to 'rat-bikes?":confused2:

"But seriously, folks..." those do brighten-up the side of the bike. I like 'em. Seventy-five dollars'-worth, probably-not for me, but the machinist has to eat.I think they could find a market.

Wow smart move, me like them and wifie to...

Just installed, & really brightens up the motor. It was the only spot on my bike that's been lacking that bling

Ordered some OTEC cylinder covers & had Dannymax make up some trim pieces for them to have that mirror finish like the cylinder heads. I have to tell you Danny did a hell of a job for this one-off for me. Just wanted give my gratitude to him. The bike is a little dirty, so I'll get better pics later. Thanks again Danny.
