Heading to Tennessee

Finally get to make the trip out to Knoxville. My in-laws live there, so it was a good excuse to talk the wife into going. Planning to haul the Max out there and do some riding over the course of the next 5 days. I will be in the Knoxville/Sevierville area tomorrow night until Sunday. Hit me up if you are in the area. I always welcome the opportunity to meet another Max-er.

Every time I've been to the Dragon there has been a car show between Pigeonforge & Gatlinburg. Traffic moves at about 3 mph as there are cars parked on either side of the highway there and everybody wants to see or be seen .

Decisions, decisions. I know I'm going to the car show. Turns out that the hotel I'm staying in is right down the street from the car show lot. Luckily my wife likes that kind of stuff tood. Went out for a ride through the mountains today and it was a blast. Rode south on 73 from pigeon forge to old state hwy 73 and back around to gatlinburgh. Good ride although traffic was a bit heavy and slow. I will fit the gopro camera in the bungee and take some video later.

Cant remember if I have done that one or not but I will deffinately go see. I have done the Dragon enough times. I am staying awy from it this time of year. There are plenty of other good roads that are not so stupid crazy.

I am all happy now. I am going to the chevy show tomorrow and doing the family thing on sunday and will probably manage to sneak out for a ride after the family stuff sunday afternoon.

I usually only haul ass on the roads i know and take it easy on the others. Last time i was there i was headed to the dragon which i have been to quite a few times and i ran up to about 130 mph and decided to shut down and be a good boy right before the foothills. Its a good thing cause there was a cop standing by the side of the road probably heard me coming a mile away

I used to laugh at trailer haulers. Now it sounds good. If you feel like riding West to Central TN I'd be glad to put you up for a night. Restaurant and Motel. Nothing fancy but good food. Email me at [email protected]. Love the MAXes. You'd be more than welcome. It's country/rural, Kentucky Lake, slow paced, and an occasional imbibement. About 50 miles from Fort Campbell.
