I noticed yesterday that my vmax felt a little winded up top. The heat index was over 100...do these motors suffer from heat soak? Arizona guys step up!

Max runs best with cool air and the hot/humidity definitely affect how it runs. Mine's kind of icky up top too but not too bad. I'm toying with the idea of dropping my mains to 152.5's. I was outside for 30 minutes and this 110 with heat index sucks ass. I'm sweating like a $2 whore.

Same here Mark! Mine just seems to lose a little pull up top yesterday. I rode for 2 hours straight without stopping and that last 1/2 hour really felt boggy. It ran fine, just felt like a few pony's were not at the stable! BTW I run 152.5's on mine.

For every 11? of temp change you gain or lose approx. 1% of HP.

The dew point was freaky high yesterday. Looks like today the "feels like" temp is going to be 110?.

Ugh... Not complaining... Better than my pic below of my screen in my car shows from last winter...

Yeah so I took it at 70 MPH on the highway so it's a bit blurry... :confused2:

It's approx. 3 degrees hotter-than-balls here in west central FL (95 F). Heat index has been about 110. Rode the VMAX to Tarpon Springs yesterday & it ran great - even broke the Shinko loose at WOT on a street that usually grips. The only bad thing I noticed was my helmet & jacket were dripping with sweat after only 1/2 hour. I can't blame the bike for that - LOL - it ran great. Last year it didn't like the heat so much, but I've leaned out the floats since then.
