Help Tail light wiring issue !.2001 vmax 1200

Have everything working with the wiring except for 1 thing .

The dredded tail light..
It has been swapped by previous owner from the factory tail light to one of the common led 3 wire plug and play lights . ( was never installed but was intended to be .)

I have the rear signal lights working properly and everythingup front working properly. But the brake / tail light will not light up.
Not functioning as either brake nor tail light.

When i connect the battery to the tail light alone by utself it works . But not when hooked to harness .

Any ideas or things i should know or tips . Ect.?? Any help would be appreciated

I have rewired the back of this a second time with all new conectors and new wires . Just be sure the connections are good and it still doesn't work..

Well, the simple 'fix' would be to re-wire the OEM light back in-place, and see if things change for the better. If that works OK, then I think the unit you've tried to install is defective, probably in its circuit board.

Hey fire medic thanks for fast response buddy . Im looking now and seeing that the one that was there before this one ...was also an led upgrade with the same wire color pattern as the one i have here

I'm sure that you can parallel-wire up that one and see how it operates, or doesn't. Let us know.
